Calibration System

Calibration System

A calibration system plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of pressure measurement instruments such as pressure switches, pressure gauges, pressure transmitters, and sensors. These systems are designed to compare the readings of a device under test (DUT) with a traceable reference standard, which has a known and certified level of accuracy.

During the calibration process, the DUT is subjected to controlled pressure inputs, and its output is measured and compared against the reference. If any deviations or errors are identified, adjustments can be made to correct the instrument’s performance, or calibration coefficients can be documented to account for the discrepancies during operation.

This process is essential in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and power generation—where precise pressure measurements are crucial for product quality, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and regulatory requirements.

By using a calibration system, companies can maintain the integrity of their pressure measurement tools, extend equipment lifespan, reduce the risk of failures or accidents, and ensure adherence to international standards such as ISO, ANSI, or NIST traceability.
