Hydrogen Generation & Boosting System

Hydrogen Generation & Boosting System

A Hydrogen Generation and Boosting System integrate advanced technologies for both the production and pressurization of hydrogen gas to meet the requirements of modern industrial and energy applications. Hydrogen generation can be achieved through several methods, including electrolysis of water, where electricity splits water into hydrogen and oxygen; steam methane reforming (SMR), which extracts hydrogen from natural gas; or through biomass gasification and other innovative processes.

Once generated, hydrogen must often be compressed or boosted to higher pressures for safe storage, efficient transportation, or direct use in high-pressure systems such as hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen refuelling stations, or industrial reactors. This is accomplished using high-performance hydrogen compressors or gas boosters designed to handle the unique properties of hydrogen, including its low molecular weight and high diffusivity.

These systems are critical in supporting the hydrogen economy, offering a clean energy vector for sectors ranging from automotive and aerospace to chemical processing and power generation, while contributing to global sustainability goals.
